8.5.1 UART Interface

The serial data and control interface on the ADS112U04 is universal asynchronous receiver transmitter (UART) compatible. Commands from the host are received by the device through the RX pin. Data are transmitted from the device to the host through the TX pin. The ADS112U04 actively synchronizes to the baud rate of the host each time the host transmits a command. The interface is half duplex; meaning only either the host or the device can communicate at any given time.
