8.5.1.1 SDATAC Requirements

In read-data-continuous mode, the ADS1284 places conversion data on the DOUT pin as SCLK is applied. As a result of the potential conflict between conversion data and register data placed on DOUT resulting from a RREG or RDATA operation, it is necessary to send a stop-read-data-continuous (SDATAC) command before a RREG or RDATA command. The SDATAC command disables the direct output of conversion data on the DOUT pin. CS = 1 cancels SDATAC mode; therefore, keep CS held low after sending the SDATAC command to the next RREG or RDATA command.
