9.4.3 Conversion Mode

Set the START pin high (for a minimum of 2 tCLK) or send the START command to begin conversions. When the START pin is held low, or if the START command is not sent, conversions are halted and the new data-ready indicator (the DRDY signal) does not issue.

When using the START command to control conversions, hold the START pin low.

In multiple device configurations, the START pin is used to synchronize devices (see the Multiple Device Configuration section for more details).
