8.5.1 Serial Interface

The DACx0502 family of devices is controlled through either a 3-wire SPI or a 2-wire I2C interface.

The type of interface is determined at device power up based on the logic level of the SPI2C pin. A logic 0 on the SPI2C pin puts the DACx0502 in SPI mode; whereas, logic 1 on SPI2C puts the DACx0502 in I2C mode. The SPI2C pin must be kept static after the device powers up.
