7.3.3 Reset Voltage Buck-Boost Converter

The internal reset voltage buck-boost converter in the DLPA300 is unused. An external voltage regulator is used to generate the –16.5-V for VRESET. The output of this regulator is connected to the VRESET_RAIL pin on the DLPA300 micromirror driver.

The external voltage regulator provide reset voltage level for the high voltage FET switches. The internal reset voltage buck-boost converter is disabled by the DLP display controller over the serial communication port.
