9.1 Application Information

The DRV10983 is used in sensorless 3-phase BLDC motor control. The driver provides a high performance, high reliability, flexible and simple solution for appliance fan, pump, and HVAC applications. The following design in Figure 40 shows a common application of the DRV10983. For the DRV10983Z sleep mode device, a Zener diode must be placed in parallel with the 10-µF VREG capacitor as shown in Figure 40. The Zener diode must meet the requirements listed in Table 11
