7.3.2.1 Unidirectional Current Sense Operation

The DRV8334 internally generates a common mode voltage of 1/8 x VREF to obtain maximum resolution for current measurement. The current sense amplifier operates in a unidirectional mode and the SO pin outputs an analog voltage equal to the voltage across the SP and SN pins multiplied by the gain setting (GCSA).

Use Equation 1 to calculate the current through the shunt resistor.
