Radiated emissions is an important concern in high current switching power supplies. ISO7741T transformer driver addresses this by modulating the internal clock in such a way that the emitting energy is spread over multiple frequency bins. This Spread Spectrum clocking feature greatly improves the emissions performance of the entire power supply block and hence relieves the system designer from one major concern in isolated power supply design.
