8.2 Typical Application

The application schematic of an LM5007-based buck converter is shown in Figure 7. For an output voltage (VOUT) above the maximum regulation threshold of VCC (see Electrical Characteristics), the VCC pin can be supplied from VOUT through a diode for higher efficiency and lower power dissipation in the IC.
