8.1.1 Capacitive Loads

The dynamic characteristics of the OPA169x amplifiers are optimized for commonly encountered gains, loads, and operating conditions. The combination of low closed-loop gain and high capacitive loads decreases the phase margin of the amplifier and can lead to gain peaking or oscillations. As a result, heavier capacitive loads must be isolated from the output. Add a small resistor (RS equal to 50 Ω, for example) in series with the output to isolate heavier capacitive loads.
