The SN74LV175A is a low-drive CMOS device that can be used for a multitude of bus interface type applications where the data needs to be retained or latched. The low drive and slow edge rates will minimize overshoot and undershoot on the outputs. The inputs are tolerant to 5.5 V at any valid V_CC. This feature makes it Ideal for translating down to the V_CC level. Figure 9-2 shows the reduction in ringing compared to higher drive parts such as the AC or LVC families of logic parts.
