7.5.3.2 Mono Mode

Mono mode is described as the operation where the two BTL outputs of amplifier are placed in parallel with one another to provide increase in the output power capability. This mode is typically used to drive subwoofers, which require more power to drive larger loudspeakers with high-amplitude, low-frequency energy.
