The core of what is needed is covered within this system specification; however, reference should be made to these standards and any discrepancies pointed out and discussed. This document should provide all the basics of what is needed. However, for a full understanding of CAN including the protocol these additional sources are helpful as the scope of CAN protocol in detail is outside the scope of this physical layer (transceiver) specification.
