ZHCSNJ8A April 2021 – September 2023 TDES960
PRODUCTION DATA
The TDES960 implements an I2C controller that acts as a proxy controller to regenerate I2C accesses originating from a remote serializer (TSER953). By default, the I2C Controller Enable bit (I2C_CONTROLLER_EN) is set to 0 in register 0x02[5] to block Controller access to local deserialilzer I2C from remote serializers. Set I2C_CONTROLLER_EN = 1 if there is a remote Controller device located on the I2C bus of any of the connected serializers that will send remote I2C commands to the deserializer. The proxy controller is an I2C-compatible controller capable of operating with Standard-mode, Fast-mode, or Fast-mode Plus I2C timing. It is also capable of arbitration with other controllers, allowing multiple controllers and targets to exist on the I2C bus. A separate I2C proxy controller is implemented for each Receive port. This allows independent operation for all sources to the I2C interface. Arbitration between multiple sources is handled automatically using I2C multi-controller arbitration.
