A feature of the TLV185x and TLV186x family is that the inputs are fail safe up to 40 V, independent of (V+). The inputs are maintained as high input impedance and can be of any value between -0.1 V and 40 V, even while (V+) is unpowered or below the minimum supply voltage. This feature avoids power sequencing or transient issues since the inputs are not diode clamped to (V+).
