8.4 Device Functional Modes

When the input supply voltage is in its recommended operating range (2 V to 6 V), the device is in a normal operational mode. In normal operational mode the device monitors VDD for undervoltage detection.

When the input supply is below its recommended operating range, the device is in shutdown mode and therefore tries to assert RESET.
