6.13.1 MMCSD Peripheral Description

The C6745/6747 includes an MMCSD controller which is compliant with MMC V4.0, Secure Digital Part 1 Physical Layer Specification V1.1 and Secure Digital Input Output (SDIO) V2.0 specifications.

The MMC/SD Controller has following features:

  • MultiMediaCard (MMC) support
  • Secure Digital (SD) Memory Card support
  • MMC/SD protocol support
  • SD high capacity support
  • SDIO protocol support
  • Programmable clock frequency
  • 512 bit Read/Write FIFO to lower system overhead
  • Slave EDMA transfer capability

The C6745/6747 MMC/SD Controller does not support SPI mode.
