7.3.9 Over-Temperature Protection (OTP)

Thermal protection on the TPA3139D2 device prevents damage to the device when the internal die temperature exceeds 150°C. This triggering point has a ±15°C tolerance from device to device. Once the die temperature exceeds the thermal triggering point, the device is switched to the shutdown state and the outputs are disabled.

Thermal protection faults are reported on the SD/ FAULT pin.

The device recovers automatically once the over temperature condition has been removed.
