PCB layout is a critical piece of a good
power supply design. To maximize the device
performance,
please
use
the following
recommendations:
- Place RILIM as close as
possible to the device and minimize the current loop to ground.
- Input and output capacitors must be
placed close to the device to minimize the effects that parasitic trace
inductance
can have on normal operation.
- Use wide traces for VIN, VOUT, and GND.
This helps minimize the parasitic electrical effects and maximizes the thermal capability
of the device.
