7.3.9 Set Switching Frequency

TPS544C26 device provides programmable operation mode including the forced CCM operation for tight output voltage ripple and auto-skipping Eco-mode for high light-load efficiency. The TPS544C26 device allows users to select the switching frequency through (33h) FREQUENCY_SWITCH register and operation mode through FCCM bit in (A0h) SYS_CFG_USER1. The available switching frequency options are 600 kHz, 800 kHz, 1 MHz and 1.2 MHz.

The FCCM bit is set during initial power-on and latched after the power conversion is enabled (EN=high). While the device is enabled, a write to FCCM bit ia acknowledged but the operation mode does not change until an EN toggle happens.
