8.2.3.3 Output Capacitor Selection

To meet the output voltage ripple and load transient requirements in the Intel specification, use a 1-µF and 2 x 47-µF ceramic capacitors local to the output of the inductor. Additionally, use 6 x 47-µF on the top-side of the CPU socket cavity combined with 4 x 22-µF capacitors on the bottom-side of the CPU socket cavity.
