8.2.2.6 Selecting Capacitor for CAP pin

TI recommends placing a ceramic capacitor from CAP pin to GND to lower the noise for the APD current mirror. A ceramic capacitor between 10 nF and 100 nF is recommended from CAP pin to GND.
