Note: When I
2C Interfaces are
used, each of the above listed register pages has its own 6-bit I
2C
device address. In order to address Page 0 to 3, the two LSBs if the pre-configured
I2C1_ID are replaced with 00 for Page 0, 01 for Page 1, 10 for Page 2 and 11 for
Page 3. As an example, if I2C1_ID=0x26 (
0100110b) , Page 0 to 3 have
following addresses:
- Page 0: 0100100
- Page 1: 0100101
- Page 2: 0100110
- Page 3: 0100111
For Page 4 the I
2C device address is according register bits
I2C2_ID. Therefore, in case both I
2C1 and I
2C2 Interfaces are
used, each
TPS6593-Q1 device occupies four I
2C
device addresses (for Page 0, Page 1, Page 2 and Page 3) on the I
2C1 bus
and one I
2C device address (for Page 4) on the I
2C2 bus. And
in case only I
2C1 Interfaces is used, each
TPS6593-Q1 device occupies five I
2C device addresses (for Page 0, Page 1, Page 2,
Page 3 and Page 4) on the I
2C1 bus. In case multiple devices are used on
a common I
2C bus, care must be taken to avoid overlapping I
2C
device addresses.
