10.2.1.2.2 Debug Control (DEBUG_CTL) and I2C (I2C) Resistors

DEBUG_CTL1/2 pins must be tied to GND through a 0-Ω resistor tied to GND directly if needed to reduce solution size. Pull-ups on the I2C_CLK, I2C_SDA, and I2C_IRQZ are used for debugging purposes. In most simple charger designs, I2C communication is not needed in the final application.
