7.2.2.9 VIN Dropout Protection and PWM Dimming

The resistor divider, RUV1 and RUV2, is set to meet VIN(UVLO,RISE) and VIN(DO,FALL) thresholds.

Equation 37. R U V 2   =   9 10 × 10 - 6 - 7 10 × 10 - 6 - 10 × 10 3 = 190 × 10 3
Equation 38. R U V 1 = 1.22 9 - 1.22 × 190 × 10 3 = 29.8 × 10 3

A standard value resistors of 191 kΩ and 29.4 kΩ are selected for RUV2 and RUV1, respectively.

The external PWM dimming is achieved by controlling UDIM input. The device modulates the LED current based on the PWM duty cycle of the external signal, coupled through external diode.
