6.1.7 External Clock Monitoring via XCLKOUT

The TMS320F2838xD/S MCU device family provides capability to export select internal clocking signals for external monitoring. This feature can be configured via software by programming registers in the system control module. To determine the number of external clock outputs implemented and the register mapping of internal clocks that can be exported, see the device-specific data sheet. Export of internal clocks on the XCLKOUT outputs is not enabled by default and must be enabled via software. It is possible to disable and configure this diagnostic via software.
