3.8 Example Calculation of Metrics

This section provides an example of functional safety metric calculation for the MCU. The results of this example can be used to evaluate the suitability of the MCU product for use in a system design. This example is not intended for performance in all system implementations.

Note:

This reference does not incorporate all recommendations of the Safety Manual. Changes in assumptions of use, such as application of a different set of diagnostics in the Safety Manual, can result in changes to the resulting safety metrics. Any changes made by the user should be validated for correctness.
