6.3.1 Calculations

Rearrange Equation 4 to find TJ:

TJ = (θJC + θCA) × PD + TA = (0.6 + 2.28) × 8.96+ 75 = 100.8°C

With TJ found, TC can be found using Equation 1 but with θJC instead of θJA:

TC = TJ - θJC × PD = 100.8 - 0.6 × 8.96= 95.4°C

So the expected value of TJ and TC are 100.8°C and 95.4°C respectively.
