TI TMP006 Temperature Sensor

Note: The TMP006 was discontinued in 2017. Therefore, it is no longer populated on the board. Documentation of the TMP006 is unchanged in this user's guide to accommodate users who still have the device populated on the board.

The TMP006 is a digital infrared (IR) thermopile contactless temperature sensor that measures the temperature of an object without being in direct contact. Placing your hand over the sensor increases the sensor output. The digital output is reported over an I2C- and SMBus-compatible two-wire serial interface. The reference designator for the TMP006 is U1.

More information on the TMP006 temperature sensor can be found at http://www.ti.com/product/tmp006.
