The reference to charge pump is derived from an internal reference circuitry. Depending on the bias mode and LCDVCTL.VLCD bit setting a buffered voltage is driven on R13 pin. The internal reference circuit can operate in 2 modes: continuous or sampled. In the continuous mode, a continuous reference is generated if the LCDREFEN bit is set. In sampled mode( for lower power consumption; the voltage on the R13 pin is maintained by a capacitor. In reference to waveform below; once in every 512 CLKCP cycles, the reference generation is turned on based on "ONTIME" CLKCP cycles. The ONTIME can be 16, 32, 128, or 256 CPCLK cycles based on the configuration of LCDVREFCFG.ONTIME field. After ONTIME/2 CLCKCP cycles , the sample switch is closed for SCLK_ONTIME (ONTIME/2) CLKCP cycles (using sample clock).
