The BQ76922 device integrates a Safety Overvoltage (SOV) Permanent Fail, which can permanently disable the pack if any cell voltage reaches or exceeds a programmable threshold for a programmable delay time. The threshold is set by Permanent Fail:SOV:Threshold, and the delay is set by Permanent Fail:SOV:Delay. This PF check is enabled by setting the Settings:Permanent Failure:Enabled PF A[SOV] and Settings:Manufacturing:Mfg Status Init[PF_EN] configuration bits.
