For applications which do not require the lowest output voltage ripple, the TPS6291x may be operated without the second LC filter. To operate with a single LC filter, replace FB1 with a 0-Ω resistor. C6 and/or C8 may be removed to reduce the amount of output capacitance. The total output capacitance must remain within the recommended range in the data sheet for proper operation.
