EMAC: Packet Filtering With TCP/UDP Filter (DNTU bit) Does not Work as Intended

Revisions Affected

0, A

Details

The DNTU bit of the MAC_Packet_Filter register is expected to drop the non-TCP or UDP-over-IP packets. The MAC forwards only those packets that are processed by the Layer 4 filter.

This functionality is not working and the EMAC is not dropping these packets even if this bit is set.
