8.3.9 Startup and OVP Recovery Delay

Upon startup or recovering from an over voltage, the TPD1S514 Family of devices have a built in startup delay. An internal oscillator controls a charge pump to control the delay. Once a manufactured pre-programmed time, tDELAY, has elapsed, the charge pump is enabled which turns ON the nFET. A manufactured pre-programmed soft start, tSS, is used when turning ON the nFET. Once the device is enabled, these start delays, tDELAY + tSS, work together to meet the USB Inrush Current compliance.
