7.3.1 Excellent Transient Response

The TPS7A10 responds quickly to a transient on the input supply (line transient) or the output current (load transient) that results from the device high input impedance and low output impedance across frequency. This same capability also means that the device has a high power-supply rejection ratio (PSRR) and low internal noise floor (en). The low-dropout regulator (LDO) approximates an ideal power supply in ac (small-signal) and dc (large-signal) conditions.

The choice of external component values optimizes the small- and large-signal response; see the Input and Output Capacitor Requirements section for proper selection.
