9.1 Application Information

The ADS1119 is a precision, 16-bit, delta-sigma (ΔΣ), analog-to-digital converter (ADC) that integrates all features required to implement the most common system monitoring functions, such as supply voltage, current, and temperature monitoring. Primary considerations when designing an application with the ADS1119 include analog input filtering, and establishing an appropriate external reference for ratiometric measurements. Connecting and configuring the interface appropriately is another concern. These considerations are discussed in the following sections.
