10.4.5.4 Client Mode

The TPS2583xA-Q1 device integrates client mode as shown in #SLUSCE31192. Both the buck converter and the external MOSFET power switch are OFF and only the data analog switch is ON. This mode can be used by automotive USB system manufacturers and OEMs for factory-only software programming via the USB port.

If the TPS2583xA-Q1 configured in Client mode during start up, the data line switches are always on regardless the voltage on VBUS and DP/DM pin.
