9.3.14.5 Target Address and Data Direction Bit

After the START signal, a target address is sent. This address is 7 bits long, followed by the 8 bit as a data direction bit (bit R/ W). A zero indicates a transmission (WRITE) and a one indicates a request for data (READ). The BQ25798 7-bit address is defined as 1101 011' (0x6B). The address bit arrangement is shown below.
