Analog switch & multiplexer features

Benefits of our high-voltage multiplexers

High-voltage multiplexers are capable of multiplexing signals surpassing 6V. The ability to handle high voltages allows the multiplexers to be utilized in various industrial applications where high-voltage signal swings are present such as ultrasound, test and measurement, factory automation, etc.

  • Devices available that support both single and dual supply
  • Consistent parameters across supply voltages
  • Latch-up immune architecture
  • Handles signals up to 100V
Featured products for high voltage multiplexers
TMUX8212 ACTIVE 100-V, flat RON, 1:1 (SPST), four-channel switches with latch-up Immunity and 1.8-V
TMUX8109 ACTIVE 100-V, flat RON, dual 4:1 multiplexers with latch-up immunity and 1.8-V logic
TMUX7208 ACTIVE 44-V, latch-up immune, 8:1 precision multiplexer with 1.8-V logic

Benefits of our fault-protected multiplexers

A fault event occurs when the voltage on a signal pin exceeds the supply voltage of a multiplexer. Fault events can be caused by any condition that causes a high voltage to be applied to a signal pin, such as power-supply sequencing errors or miswiring. Fault-protected multiplexers prevent signals and damage caused by fault events up to ±60V for device inputs.

  • Protects downstream devices from fault events
  • Contain interrupt flags to indicate fault status
  • Maintains fault protection when in an off-state
  • Precision features: low Ron, low Con, flat on resistance
  • Latch-up immune architecture
Featured products for fault-protected multiplexers
TMUX7436F ACTIVE ±60-V fault-protected, dual 2:1 multiplexer with latch-up immunity and 1.8-V logic
TMUX7462F ACTIVE ±60-V fault-protected, latch-up immune, 4-channel protector, adjustable fault threshold, 1.8-V logic
TMUX7308F ACTIVE ±60-V fault-protected, 8:1, one-channel multiplexers with 1.8-V logic

Benefits of our beyond the supply multiplexers

Typically, multiplexers support rail-to-rail operation, where only signals within the supply voltage range can be passed. However, with beyond the supply capable multiplexers, signals that exceed the supply voltage can be passed. The ability to go beyond the supply allows for a reduction in the amount of supply rails needed.

  • Passes positive and negative signals that exceed supply voltage
  • Protection features: powered-off protection, over-temperature protection
  • Precision features: low Ron, low Ron flatness, low THD+N
  • Up to 1A current support
  • Use cases include: audio, industrial applications, relay replacement, etc.

Benefits of our I3C-compatible passive multiplexers

I3C is an improvement upon previous communication protocols I2C and SPI. I3C-compatible multiplexers are optimized for the improved specifications of the I3C protocol.

  • Increase the number of peripherals a controller can communicate with
  • Maintains a low bus line capacitance below 50pF
  • Supports open-drain and push-pull interfaces
  • High bandwidth to maintain integrity of 12.5MHz signals
  • I3C voltage-level support: 1.2V, 1.8V, 3.3V

Benefits of our ultra-low leakage multiplexers

Leakage current refers to the small amount of current that flows through a device when in either an on or off state. Excessive leakage current increases both the power consumption and noise of a system. Our ultra-low leakage multiplexers minimize the amount of leakage current reducing the noise and power of the system.

  • High precision features: low Con, low Ron, low charge injection
  • Optimized for low-power, high-accuracy operations
  • Wide supply ranges: up to ±50V
  • Low supply current
