PARALLEL-LDO-CALC
Parallel low-dropout (LDO) calculator
PARALLEL-LDO-CALC
Overview
The parallel low-dropout (LDO) calculator is a Microsoft® Excel®-based tool that provides worst-case analysis for parallel LDO regulators using ballast resistors. The tool helps the user identify the minimum number of parallel LDO regulators required and optimum ballast resistance for a system requirement set.
Data-sheet information for common LDO regulators used in parallel applications is prepopulated into the calculator. The user can evaluate which LDO regulator device best meets their system needs based on their system requirements.
Features
- Determine minimum parallel LDO regulators required to meet set of parallel LDO system requirements
- Automatically calculate optimum ballast resistor from parallel LDO system requirements
- Integrated calculations automatically perform worst-case analysis to determine optimum ballast resistance and minimum number of parallel LDO regulators required
- Supports multiple LDO regulator devices for user assessment
