This reference design demonstrates a low-power boost converter solution used for door and windows sensors. The design includes an alkaline battery, an ultra-low quiescent-current boost converter and ultra-low power consuming digital Hall effect sensors. It can also power an ultra-low power, sub-1-GHz wireless microcontroller used to transmit the status of sensors.
