TIDM-LPSM
Low Power Micro Stepper Motor Driver Reference Design Using FRAM
TIDM-LPSM
Overview
Controlled by the MSP-EXP430FR5969 FRAM LaunchPad, this 20-pin boosterpack utilizes the DRV8836 motor driver for operating low-voltage stepper motors with minimal power consumption to better optimize battery life. Micro stepping logic provides for smooth motor steps, a INA199 current shunt monitor provides a valuable motor status feedback loop, and MSP430FR5969 FRAM technology allows for saved motor states in the event of power supply disconnection.
